Constitution of The Barbados Association of Winnipeg, Inc.
 
  • To promote and develop a sense of unity and community spirit among Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and all other ethnic groups in Canada.
 
  • To assist Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and all other ethnic  groups who find themselves in difficulty.
 
  • To provide an informational resource base to which newly arrived Barbadians and Caribbean-Canadians may be referred for support in adjusting to the social environment.
 
  • To assist Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and other ethnic groups in understanding the legal, moral, educational and social rights and obligations of persons residing in Canada.
 
  • To educate Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and other ethnic groups about Barbadian achievements and encourage all young Canadians in the development of their full potential.
 
  • To educate ourselves and the community about Barbadian customs and culture.
 
  • To foster amicable relations between the countries of Barbados and Canada.
 
  • To co-operate with, educate and provide support to, all youths within the Canadian mosaic.
 
  • To encourage Canadians of all backgrounds and origins to participate fully in the activities of the Association.
